Kick‑off of the first training phase for “Towards Zero Single‑Use Plastic Hotels”

As part of the BeMed+ project, we have started working with hotels in the Shkumbin River basin to reduce single‑use plastics and to build practical models of sustainable waste management.

Our partner hotels in this phase are:

• Imperial Hotel, Elbasan

• Univers Hotel, Elbasan

• Hotel Vila Zeneli, Librazhd

These businesses are taking their first steps toward a green transformation, beginning with plastic inventory and diagnostics. In the next stages, we will work together on prioritization and identifying sustainable alternatives.

This process is an opportunity to build trust, involve suppliers, and foster a new culture of sustainability in the local tourism sector.
