Shepherds’ Training in Sllovë – Investing in Sustainable Pastures and Local Communities

 

As part of the project "Sustainable Grazing for the Conservation of Vital Pasture Ecosystems", training session was held for shepherds in the Sllovë area on 12.09.2025.

The training aimed to strengthen the local community with practical and technical knowledge on sustainable pasture management, biodiversity conservation, and ecological monitoring of high-value ecosystems. Through interactive sessions and experience sharing, participants gained new insights and practical solutions to everyday challenges faced in pastoral life.

This initiative marks a meaningful step toward empowering shepherds as stewards of nature and promoting sustainable rural development.

The activity was carried out in collaboration with local authorities and partner organizations, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in managing natural resources.
