Strengthening Local Youth Councils in Librazhd as an important place for dialogue

📅 On December 17, 2025, a special activity was held at the Librazhd Municipality with the participation of young people from the Local Youth Forum and high school students from the city.

🌿 The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the Local Youth Councils as important platforms for dialogue between young people and their representatives, promoting intergenerational exchange and increasing young people's confidence that they are a driving force for changing behavior towards the environment. The councils represent an extraordinary step towards strengthening civic engagement, especially in environmental protection issues.

🤝 In cooperation with INCA, young people had the opportunity to be trained and learn new mechanisms for active involvement and share concrete experiences on environmental advocacy in their community.

📌 During the meeting, discussions were organized on positive models of civic participation, where young people learned the basics of lobbying and advocacy for environmental protection at the local level. They shared inspiring examples from their experiences, such as initiatives to improve school spaces or create cleaning systems in their residential neighborhoods.

✨ The activity ended with the identification of the main priorities that young people will advocate to the local government, turning this meeting into an important step towards strengthening the youth voice and protecting the environment in Librazhd.
