Meeting with the Municipal Council of Librazhd on Plastic Pollution Reduction

In the latest session of the Municipal Council of Librazhd, the BeMed+ project was presented and the Local Action Plan for reducing single-use plastic pollution in the Shkumbin River basin was discussed.

This meeting served as an important step to

• Present the objectives and activities of the Beyond Plastic Med - BeMed project

• Share concrete measures for reducing plastic pollution.

• Highlight the role of the Municipality, the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, catering), and sports tourism in implementing the plan.

• Identify opportunities for collaboration in environmental protection.

The Shkumbin River basin holds special importance for the community and for the economic and tourism development of Librazhd. Joint commitment from institutions and local actors is essential to ensure a cleaner and more sustainable future.
