Melan, where nature and people coexist
Melan, where nature and people coexist
Melan, where nature and people coexistIn Melan,on 17.09.2025 we held a special training session with local shepherds and tourist guides, focused on building capacity for eco-tourism activities and sustainable visitor management.
The event brought positive energy, fresh ideas, and a spirit of collaboration to turn pastures and natural landscapes into opportunities for community development. Shepherds and guides shared their experiences, learned new techniques, and committed to using tourism as a way to improve their well-being while protecting the pastures as a shared resource.
Pastures and forests are more than landscapes — they are gateways to building sustainable local economies. By protecting them and integrating them into authentic tourism experiences, the community not only supports its own well-being but also creates a development model that honors both nature and tradition.
