Open lecture with MSc Economics students

As part of the collaboration within the 1FUTURE project, the Institute for Nature Conservation in Albania (INCA), in cooperation with “Luarasi” University, organized on November 18, 2025, an open lecture with MSc Economics students.
The lecture was delivered by INCA expert Emirjeta Adhami, who presented concepts and information on risk analysis and adaptation measures to address climate change connected with costs analyse.
The concepts introduced were illustrated with practical examples from the application of risk analysis at the municipal level, identifying risks for communities, natural resources, and vulnerable infrastructures, along with their respective costs. Students engaged with these case studies, working on adaptation measures and using worksheets to calculate costs, thereby conducting cost-benefit analysis for the implementation of such measures.
This activity is part of the broader effort to involve stakeholders in strengthening the capacities of the new generation of professionals in climate risk management, sustainable development adaptation under changing conditions, and in fostering cooperation between scientific research, relevant expertise, and communities.
